Stuff You Should Know

SS Geronimo was a liberty ship built and used during World War II by the United States. The ship was named after a Native American warrior who was involved in major war operations against American settlers in the late 1800s.
The ship was launched in May 1943 and having survived the war, it was scrapped in 1960, just like almost any other Liberty Ship.
