Landry Shipyard

Landry Shipyard started as a repair shop and began constructing boats in 1958. Landry Shipyard provides a comprehensive variety of vessel repair services, including dockside and haul-out. Dockyard repairs, painting, wood repair, steep repair, fabrication, and restorations are among its services. Asbestos was an ideal material for use in shipbuilding since it withstands corrosion and high heat. Between the 1930s to mid-1970s, the hazardous mineral was employed in practically every aspect of shipbuilding in the United States Navy, exposing a significant number of naval shipyard employees to the cancer-causing substance on a regular basis.
