It also broke the world production speed record for individual ship construction. Skinner and Eddy Corporation built 75 ships - 72 cargo ships and 3 oil tankers - from 1916 to 1920, including 32 completed for the Emergency Fleet Corporation during the war. At its peak as a company, the shipyard had roughly 13,500 employees.
